Can’t say enough good things about this book. Helped me so much while I was a student and I even use it now as a tech! Absolutely worth the money and more .
5.0 out of 5 stars Really good for students
Easy read I recommend it for current sonographers and student sonographers it’s written by a sonographer so it doesn’t include information that we don’t need it’s very straight to the point and easy to read
I have been a Sonographer for many years and was loving strictly into the OBGyn only world. If I could ask for a perfect book with all the info I would need at my fingertips....THIS IS IT!! This book was recommended by another OB sonographer. The book is small and larger print so that is great. I would however suggest to buy index tabs to make things quicker to find. There is a table of contents but this book has everything you need so you just want to have those tabs handy. I will definitely recommend this book to others.
Sonographers are particularly vulnerable to high levels of stress due to the demands of our jobs. We are responsible for doing the work of a technologist, performing complex, diagnostic tests on patients that require a high level of concentration, and in some cases, the job of the radiologist, providing suspected diagnosis and differentials. Pressure can stem from a variety of sources, including the physician or radiologist who is relying on our images to make a diagnosis, a manager who thinks we aren't going fast enough, a co-worker who doesn't pull their weight, or even our own high standards for our work.
In my latest book, we'll explore some practical tips and strategies for managing stress and building resilience in the face of the unique challenges of the sonography profession. Instead of rolling with the punches, you might be able to avoid some of them altogether. You can fight back, and I hope this book will give you the ammunition you need. Remember, taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's essential for your well-being and the well-being of those around you.
